Just 19 years old and already so important for the record champions, Alphonso Davies was the star of Der Klassiker alongside goal-scorer Joshua Kimmich. With his super-sprints, the Canadian thwarted one or two good chances for Borussia Dortmund. After the game, this garnered him some special praise, with one particular comparison by Thomas Müller, who dubbed Davies the ‘Roadrunner’ of FC Bayern München. Whenever his opponents felt secure, Davies would come from behind to steal the ball.
